Stop & Shop

Today was the last day for their sale so i hadddd to get there! They were having a buy $15 worth of Kelloggs, Velvetta, Progresso Soup, Fiber One stuff & get $5 off your order. Also their Poland Springs was $3.99 this week and if you buy 2 you got $2.00 OYNO! I had $15.00 in shaws Catalinas that i wanted to use towards that stuff. My total woulda been $0.00 oop if i didnt need syrup, and i also wanted to get kens dressing that came out to like .3x after my .35 coupon was doubled! My total came to $7.xx and at that point i thought i was getting a $5 catalina and my $2.00 PS catalina, but only the $2.00 printed out which we had to ask the cashier for cause she forgot to take it outa the machine [phew]. As we were walking out i realized i didnt have the $5 one so we stoped at the service desk [dave did my dirty work. he always volunteers to do that stuff...either he's a super nice husband or he's saving him self from my embarassment haha i get wound up when i get annoyed!]. So anyway we showed the girl the sale and we showed her on the receipt that we bought all the right stuff [she was nice, didnt give dave a hard time] she couldnt figure it out so she called a manager to see what she should do. The manager said cause we used coupons on the sale items is the reason why the catalina didnt print out...but i thought that it was the total before coupons that counted towards w/e sale? Anyone know the truth to that?...but she said she would give us the cash for it! So we walked out w/$5.00 cash and my total Oop ended up being $2.91!! Not bad for 6 boxes of ceral, salad dressing, a news paper, and syrup! Now i have my $2.00 cat to use tomorrow for our big shopping and i have a competitors coupon for $15/$100!

  1. Thats a crock! Managers ALWAYS try and use this line. Actually you can go on the presale price of items to count towards the deal...

For instance is spend 20 get 10 onyo

Cereal is on sale for 2/5 however is reg 2.99

    So buy 7 Cereals 20.93
-Shaws card or SS card -3.43
    - 1/2 coupons -3.00
Total oop would be 14.50 with 10 back.

    Does that make sense?
