Shopping Anxiety!

Is it me or am i the only one that gets extremely overwhelmed the moment i walk in the store?!
Okay maybe its not that bad, but heres my deal...
Ill read blog after blog after blog looking for the best deals for different stores [CVS, Wags, Rite Aid, Target, Stop and Shop & Shaws], ill plan out my trip, sometimes ill just go with my stack of coupons and other times ill make a list. Well the moment i walk in the door i start getting overwhelmed!
I cant think straight and i cant figure out what the hell the deal was i was trying to get! I think i just get so excited over the deals my brain just shits out on me! hahah
Okay i need to stop with these rants before no one reads my blog anymore haha:-)

  1. Always use your list..I do this, I use little scraps of paper (from printed coupons usually, instead of throwing away the scrap) about the size of a small index card. When reading deals on CVS, I get out a scrap, write the date at the top or the sale date like 3/7- 3/14, or just current date. As I read deals I like, I make a little note like this:
    CVS 3/7-3/14
    -------------
    Fructis/sale $2.99/get $2 ECB/use $1 q from SS 2/1=free
    ------------
Look for Organix MIR (mail in rebate) on bottles shampoo
    ------------
    Clearance: look for mylanta ultimate mint. $2/1 SS 2/1 Q =free or overage.also $2 ECB (limit 5)
    ------------

This is just an example. I inlcude sale items, coupons, printable, WHERE the coupon can be found (because I forget, forget who posted the deal and hate looking it up again later!) These were just examples, the coupon info/deals are somewhat real/somewhat fake to show you. Now, I know you probably didn't want (nor ask for!) my $.02, but this system really works for me!! I can have up to 3 little note papers I'm using at once for one store, so I staple them. When the deals are dead/week is over, I just toss the paper and start a new one! I too was overwhelmed not too long ago, I would make a list, but so many stores..this has really been working for me!
And remember, it IS exciting! LOL!
    Warmth to you, Tracey C.

  2. That happens to me sometimes!! Depends what store I'm going to. I've pretty much mastered CVS, but I get antsy at Wags and when I'm doing a big grocery deal that involves catalinas. I have to make a list when I'm going anywhere besides CVS.

  5. OMG, I know exactly how you feel. Yesterday I was going through many sites trying to figure out how to become more frugal, and I was extremely overwhelmed, I felt sick. But I decided I would go to cvs and safeway to get some deals. I got the few things I went in for and left extremely quickly. I think I need to slowly get myself to that point, it is difficult to jump in at once, even though I have been a coupon shopper for a while. oh well..
